Best way to protect your data

Put all your data on two external hard-drives. Connect it when you are not using the internet & use an Apple with virus protection (just to be sure!)

Judge ruling is not pragmatic

Its not pragmatic - because some people can live anywhere they like. Some countries would not agree with the UK stance. Someone determined to do something - will!

Not living in the UK

For a UK judge to stop a foreign blog or website from publishing inappropriate material would require assistance from the foreign countries law system.

Court injunctions

The reality of the recent court injunctions is that people will publish things they shouldn't whether the judge likes it or not - especially if they don't live in the UK!

Publishing news on Twitter

Recent rulings by judges forbid certain news being published on Twitter - but hang on, if Iraq had done that too, would we be where we are?

Let us not forget recent wars etc

News on Bin Laden, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan etc - often being posted by mobile phone to Twitter, helping in some cases to bring to an end the problems on the ground

Governments waking up to technology

Law courts and governments are starting to wake up to the power of technology. Places like Twitter are becoming more important as a means to 'change'.
